As a therapist, I strive to offer a warm, supportive, non- judgmental environment for you to engage in the therapy process.
Together we will identify and explore the issues/ stressors you are struggling with and develop positive tools to help you live a healthy, balanced, fulfilled life.
I believe in taking a holistic approach to counseling, taking into consideration the mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social and cultural aspects of you as a person.
Our minds and bodies are infinitely connected with all parts of ourselves affecting the others, so in order to find emotional contentment and balance we cannot overlook parts of ourselves.
My approach as a therapist is eclectic, combining techniques to create a personalized plan for each client.
I most often utilize techniques from the following methods: psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, strength based and compassion focused.
I believe you already have what you need within you, part of my job is to help you uncover and see that. The therapeutic relationship is very unique. I combine an objective, unbiased perspective with genuine care, compassion and accountability.
The process is individualized and will go at your pace.
I tell every new client that one of the most important factors is their comfort level with me and whether my approach is the best fit for them. If I am not the right person for you, I will help you find the one who is.
