How well do your daily habits support your goals?
Do you keep putting off doing things that will make you feel better physically and emotionally?
Do you feel guilty if you put yourself first?
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” -Buddha
Self-care is NOT selfish!
I can’t stress that enough. Taking care of yourself should not be a luxury, it is truly a necessity.
To be the best parent, child, friend, employee, etc. you need to care for your needs on all levels. When you aren’t taking care of yourself, you are not able to be there as fully for others. Remember on the airplane, they tell us to put our mask on first before helping others.
Self-care applies to all aspects of ourselves, mentally, emotionally and physically.
This includes, but is not limited to, how we talk to ourselves, how we feed ourselves and care for our physical body, how we cope with our emotions and relationships.
Creating positive daily habits and prioritizing self-care is a critical foundation to creating the life you want. When you feel better on the inside, it will reflect in your external world.
Changing old habits can feel difficult, but step-by-step, you can let go of negative choices that no longer serve you well and replace them with decisions that will guide to you health and happiness.
We all have seemingly endless “to do” lists, let’s make sure you are on the top of the list! You’ll be amazed at how positively it can affect other areas of your life.
